Using a scoop or a tablespoon, roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar and place on baking sheets. These will spread and crinkle as they bake. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until cookies are crackly and lightly browned on the edges. Cool briefly on cookie sheets before transferring to a rack to cool completely.
